Samuel Omwando, claimed that Ruto's stand that he will continue attending fund drives in churches shows that he is not willing to stop engaging in dubious dealings.

"Church leaders from Gusii region should not let the Gusii community down by accepting DP Ruto's stolen money. Even if it means the churches won't improve infrastructure, let not stolen money be given to the churches in form of fund drives," he said in Kisii town on Sunday.

Omwando, who doubles as Kisii County ODODM chairman, insisted that DP Ruto is a dangerous person to the country's economy.

The vocal politician appealed to elected leaders in Nyamira and Kisii counties not to organize for fund drives to invite DP Ruto to bring the money he has stolen from poor Kenyans.

"Elected leaders should contribute any little they have to our churches instead of inviting a thief to contribute. Theft of public monies must stop," said the former Kitutu Chache MP hopeful.
