National Super League (NSL) side Kisumu All Stars will soon own a team bus.
The bus is expected to ease transportation of players and the technical bench to various match day venues across the country.
Plans to purchase the bus were revealed by Kisumu County Executive Committee (CEC) Member for Finance Nerry Achar to the press at a Kisumu hotel on Tuesday, April 02, 2019.
The meeting was attended by among others, Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o.
“The governor has put up special measures for the team especially if the club books a Kenya Premier League (KPL) slot. You will see that they have enough support. The governor has plans of purchasing a bus for the team,” he said on behalf of CEC for Sports Achie Alai who did not attend the meeting.
However, he did not reveal the exact time the bus will be purchased.
Kisumu All Stars was formed in February last year to replace Palos FC in the NSL after the latter was folded due to lack of funds.
All Stars is among the top four teams fighting to get the two automatic slots available for KPL promotion next season, alongside Wazito FC, Ushuru FC and Nairobi Stima.
