Through his Twitter account, the lawyer called on the Head of State to move ahead and reclaim all public utilities grabbed.

"Just imagine how history will glowingly and radiantly record his place in history if Uhuru goes one step further in the on-going demolition of illegal structures," Ahmednasir stated.

"Just one step and orders that all illegally acquired public utility land be recovered... just imagine!", he added.

Weighing on the matter, law scholar Professor Makau Mutua expressed his admiration and support for the ongoing war against corruption and the demolition of buildings.

"I salute Governor Sonko for boldly joining the fight to demolish and/or repossess structures on grabbed public land. Let no illegal structure be spared - no matter the owner," Professor Makau tweeted.

Over the recent past, the government has embarked on a mission to demolish all illegal structures build on road reserves and riparian land.

So far, Ukay Center and Oshwal Center are among the notable buildings demolished in the ongoing purge.
