This comes a few moments after Kisumu county nurses downed their tools this morning highlighting the hypocrisy by the Nyong'o led government in a placard entitled "MIGORI OBADO PAID, KSM NYONG'O CAN'T PAY" as it is said to have given them a deaf ear.

However, to Maurice Achochi who is the Kenya National Union of Nurses Chair (Migori Branch), it was needless downing their tools as the County Government had sorted their perks.

"The return to work formula that was signed by the county government has been fully implemented as earlier agreed in November 2017 during our previous strike that lasted five months," he said.

Mr Achochi says the County Referral hospital is expecting patients from Kisumu, Homabay, Kisii and Narok Counties.

"We would not like to witness what happened during the previous strike where lives were lost and we encourage patients from other counties to turn out and seek medication from this facility," he said.

Migori County hospital administrator Castri Otuoma lauded the County government for acting speedily to avert the looming crisis.

"I'm congratulating the county government for ensuring a smooth running of services in the facility and we are prepared to assist patients from across the region," he said.
