Slightly a month after ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack DP William Ruto over 'impedance' to fight against graft, the debate has taken a new twist.
A section of ODM grassroots leaders now claim that Ruto should be kicked out 'over remarks that corruption within government is exaggerated'.
Mr. Richard Kaka, who chairs Nyamira ODM branch said the DP is out to frustrate the president's legacy.
"If he tends to claim that there is no corruption in government yet the president has admitted, what is he after? Time has come to cut ties with him completely," he said.
Area Youth League Leader Marube Maina added: "It is now clear that the DP is an enemy to development. Time has came for the president to be bold enough and kick him out."
Over the weekend, Ruto scolded Raila Odinga when he warned the government against over borrowing.
The President has gone mum over escalating fuel prices further raising eyebrows over his next move.
With ODM opposed to borrowing of money, Ruto however insists that the money has been used diligently in funding projects.
