It is now official that scouts from the Northern Wanderers Football Club in Garissa will be heading to Isiolo in search of talents next week. This is according to the club's patron who is also the Garissa Township MP Aden Duale.
Announcing of the clubs activities via a social media update, Duale disclosed that the mission had been successful for Mandera region, calling on Isiolo residents to prepare for the same.
"Next week the football scouts will be in Isiolo county to realize the same. The selected players will camp in Garissa mid-June once scouting is over," said Duale.
Issuing a clarification over the ongoing scouting mission, Duale revealed that the move is meant recruit raw talents, after which professional training and exposure will then follow.
"Northern Wanderers will provide the professional training, exposure, and guidance to polish our raw talents. With the team, Northern Kenya football will never be the same again," Duale added.
For the past two weeks, the club has been conducting talent search in Garissa, Mandera and Wajir counties where the respective county governors have vowed to support the club attain its projected goals.
With the talent search, it has been projected that the club will become a threat to reigning champions in the Kenya Premier League.
