Nurses in Nyamira county have hit out at the county MCAs terming them as self-centered leaders.
The nurses led by Richard Oruka argued that Nyamira County MCAs are doing nothing to ensure nurses are paid their allowances.
"Nyamira MCAs have opened wide their stomachs misusing public funds, going on foreign trips and big hotels while we are suffering. MCAs should push for us to be paid our money being held by Nyamira County Government," he said.
According to Mr Oruka, the MCAs intervention will pressure Governor Nyagarama to release the allowances for nurses.
He said nurses may be forced to boycott the job so that the county government can consider paying them.
"Nurses can't continue working in deplorable environment. It is either the county government to pay the nurse or operations at public health centers to be paralyzed," he threatened.
