Another Nyamira County Government employee has succumbed to injuries sustained in the Monday morning accident which had claimed two lives at Sironga along Kisii- Kebirigo road.
Mr. Paul Nyatuka, Bonyamatuta Ward administrator sustained head injuries and was receiving treatment at the Nyamira Level 5 Hospital where he died seven hours after the accident.
He was receiving treatment alongside four others that are still admitted at the facility.
Nyatuka was in the car which was being driven from Kisii by Mr. Enoch Nyakundi who worked as a deputy director in the human resource department at the County assembly.
The accident claimed 2 lives on the spot where Nyakundi and a rider identified as Reagan died.
Nyatuka was among five who were earlier admitted in the facility.
Reports indicate that he was in critical condition with nursing officers indicating he suffered internal bleeding, which might have caused his death.
An eye witness recounted that the car in which the late was travelling in was overspeeding.
The driver (Nyakundi) tried to avoid a motorcyclist who was making a turn before swaying and hitting an oncoming truck head-on.
