Opposition leader Raila Odinga has revealed that President Uhuru Kenyatta, and himself will visit the remaining parts of Nyanza at a later date.
The two will hold a joint tour of Kisumu and Siaya counties in a two day visit beginning today (Thursday).
But in a recent interview with one of the region's vernacular stations, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party chief said that they will visit the remaining two Luo Nyanza counties next year.
The visit, he said, will also touch on Kisii and Nyamira counties, which fall under the Kisii side of Nyanza province.
"We are coming for the good of our people. I will be coming with many local and international guests. We will also visit Homabay, Migori, Kisii and Nyamira early next year," he was quoted by the Standard.
The current friendship between the two national leaders follows their truce nine months ago, where they put to rest their political enmity as was witnessed in the August 8 2017 presidential contest.
In Kisumu, the President is expected to launch the Universal Healthcare Coverage at the Mamboleo Showground and commission the Kisumu - Kakamega Road.
He is expected to also accompany Odinga to his Siaya backyard on Friday for another series of development project launches.
