Wednesday's meeting between Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli has elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans.
Through his Facebook official page, Joho said he met Atwoli and engaged him on matters of national unity.
"I met and held talks with Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Brother Francis Atwoli. We discussed national issues in particular unity of our beloved nation and also touched on labour issues," read Joho's post on Facebook.
However, their meeting has been received with mixed reactions.
Recently, Atwoli has been making headlines when he said Deputy President William Ruto's name will not be on the ballot paper come 2022. He went further to state that Joho, on the other hand, will hold a good position in the next government.
