The shakeup has also elicited reactions from a section of leaders mostly Members of County Assembly (MCA)

Daniel Ombasa, Tabaka ward MCA said the reshuffle came at the right time and will go along way in improving service delivery.

"I support Governor Ongwae's decision to reshuffle cabinet. This will improve service delivery to the electorates across the county," he said.

The Jubilee MCA stated that Ongwae should not take any dictation from anyone regarding the reshuffle.

Kennedy Michira, Kiamokama ward MCA said the reshuffle is common to ensure the cabinet is delivering.

"Reshuffle of the cabinet is not something new. The cabinet members should be rotated for the sake of boosting service delivery to meet the expectations of the electorate," he noted.

Michira urged Ongwae to reshuffle the cabinet after every one year.

Bogeka ward MCA Charles Mochoge said Ongwae should not be scared of sacking any lazy cabinet member because residents deserve better services.

"Lazy cabinet members should be sent home and bring new people on board. Ongwae should not hesitate sending away lazy cabinet members home. Reshuffling of cabinet members will also help in the fight against corruption," said Mochoge.
