The first born daughter of Raila Odinga confessed her blindness last weekend at a burial of a Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University student.

In her passione speech during the burial, student body Secretary General Tony Amecha recalls, Rosemary said she'll be reaching to the community as a way of giving back.

"She nowdays operates from the coast due to serene environment after going bling in South Africa. She said the blindness came over sudden after waking up one morning in South Africa hospital.

"For now, she wants to reach the less advantaged especially women and youths, empower them on various aspects more especially on Agribusinesses," he noted.

It was Rosemary's first public appearance since leaving South Africa in May last year where she was treated of brain tumour.

After jetting back to the country, Rosemary announced her exit from politics where she had declared interest in Kibra Constituency, citing poor health.

In December, she is expected to accompany her father to the institution where he will be awarded honorary degree of Doctors of Sciences.

"She said she will be back in Siaya more often to uplift locals. Furthermore, we expect her as guest during graduation scheduled 14th December."

Details about her whereabouts have been scanty with close aides to her father closely guarding her predicaments.
