We shall continue supporting the church, Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has told those criticizing their visits and contributions to churches across the country.
In a post on his Facebook page, Sudi said despite growing opposition, they will be intimidated by anyone.
The MP was among a group of politicians allied to Deputy President Wiliam Ruto who attended a fundraiser for 15 churches in Chepsiro, Cherangany Constituency, Transnzoia County on Sunday.
"We will continue to stand firm as Christians, the enemies of the church will not succeed in intimidating us. We shall continue supporting the church because our faith is deeply rooted in our hearts," reads part of Sudi's Facebook post.
The convergence of the politicians in Trans Nzoia County comes as the debate continues of the banning of politicians from politicking in church and attending harambees, a move which has received mixed and sharp reactions.
The team which has been branded 'Tanga Tanga' has been propelling DP Ruto's 2022 presidential bid as he focuses on succeeding his boss President Uhuru Kenyata despite opposition from other Jubilee leaders led by former Jubilee party chair David Murathe.
