There was drama in a village in Kisii after a woman attacked her husband with kicks and blows, accusing him of seducing her close friend.
The incident occurred on Monday evening at Kiabosura Village in Suneka, Kisii County.
Sarah Bosibori claimed that her husband, Ronald Ruba, has been secretly seducing her close friend Doris Mokeira.
“Mokeira and I are close friends. I was shocked when Mokeira told me that my husband has been seducing her secretly and he had warned her against revealing the secret love to anyone. I was angered by my husband’s intentions to betray me and that is why I attacked him,” she said.
Bosibori said she found the love messages in Mokeira’s phone, which her husband has been sending, begging her to engage in a relationship with her.
“Mokeira showed me several love messages my husband has been sending her begging her for love, and promising her that he will make her his second wife. I am not ready to walk out of the marriage and this is why I beat him up so that he can change his behaviour,” she said.
Area chief Charles Orioki who confirmed the incident said married couples should remain faithful to their partners.
"Couples should learn to live in peace and avoid unnecessary fights. Men should respect their wives and vice versa,” he said.
