Citizen TV host Jeff Koinange's journalist integrity has yet again been questioned following his heated interview with Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Wednesday.
Mr Koinange, suspended his interview with Sonko mid way, arguing that the City Hall boss had contravened editorial standards of the Royal Media station.
"Due to standards and quality control here at Royal Media Services Governor it looks like we cannot continue with this interview," Koinange said as he cut short the interview.
The two were discussing Sonko's conduct following his recent confrontation with Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris following their scuffle during Madaraka Day fete.
But in a quick rejoinder, Governor Sonko blamed Mr Koinange, a former CNN reporter, of hating facts, adding that he was biased during the interview.
"Yes because you are one-sided, you are shying away from the real facts #JKLiveInterview ends," Sonko responded to Mr Jeff Koinange.
Earlier on Thursday morning, Sonko also lashed at Citizen TV boss SK Macharia, accusing the billionaire philanthropist of gagging him during the interview.
"I want to tell SK Macharia and Citizen TV that you cannot stop me from responding to questions that Jeff Koinange was asking me. It is actually Jeff Koinange who asked me about Passaris," Sonko fired.
It's not the first time Mr Koinange is being accused of bias. Last year, Canada-based lawyer Miguna Miguna accused him of being a state secret agent.
