Reports on Citizen Digital indicate that Kinoti interdicted the two officers on Wednesday.

Kinoti claims that the two officers and two prosecutors allegedly engaged in 'a cover up', in the case where Nyakundi is accuaed of shooting and killing his son in March.

Reports on the Daily Nation indicate that Kinoti and the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji are not happy with the manner in which the case was handled.

The Daily Nation reports that Kinoti and Haji are angry that their officers did not consult them on the investigation and arraignment of Nyakundi to court.

"This is one of those cases I was not briefed at all by my officers. I only heard of the manslaughter charge from the media. Even the DPP is horrified," Kinoti said as quoted by the Daily Nation.

Nyakundi was arraigned in a Kiambu magistrate court two weeks ago and charged with manslaughter.

The Nairobi laywer pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted a Sh1 million bond with a surety of similar amount or an alternative of a  Sh3000,000 cash bail.

Nyakundi was also ordered to vacate his Muthaiga home, with his wife and son listed as witnesses in the case.

The city lawyer was admitted in hospital after he allegedly shot his son.

Nyakundi told investigating officers that he was trying to hostler his firearm, when he accidentally fired and shot his 29-year-old son on the chest.

An autopsy report seen by Citizen Digital, however, contradicted the lawyer's statement to the police.

The report revealed that the deceased could have been shot from outside the vehicle and not inside as the lawyer told the police.

The matter is coming up for mention in court on June 20.
