Echesa who says that he is yet to be told why President Uhuru Kenyatta ousted him thinks his support for Jubilee regime made it very easy for him to be ousted.

He added that he was not in any formal agreement with the president, despite backing him and helping Jubilee Party win several parliamentary seats in Western Kenya in the 2017 polls.

"I was sacked without a reason because I was just a supporter. Sikuwa na kitu pale (I had nothing there)," he said in an interview on Milele FM's Kivumbi show on Thursday morning.

Echesa added that all his attempts to get explanations behind his sacking have been futile and he will not be making any further attempts to get the answers.

However, he expressed his gratitude for having been entrusted with the job noting that Uhuru had every right to expel him, being the appointing authority.

He said that he has not personally raised the issue with the head of state and has not found an opportunity to engage him since the sack in early March.

"We have not talked. Lakini nikipata time nitamtafuta (but I will try to reach him when I get the time). However, it's upon him to rearrange his Cabinet. You will not hear me pushing for answers anymore," said Echesa.
