President Uhuru Kenyatta addressed a group of professors from Havard University Friday evening after a busy day in Eldoret where he launched the Rivatex textile mill.
The professors were in the country to learn more about the president's leadership which they referred to as transformative.
Professor Srikant M. Datar, who led the group of professors, spoke in glowing terms about the president's style of leadership, saying that there was so much to do.
He described the president as ambitious and audacious in terms of the setting of goals.
"We research and teach about leadership, that's a very important part of what we do at the school. We are always on the look out for examples of outstanding leadership and when I study what you have done and what we can learn about leadership, I could take the rest of this evening describing how I appreciate the different aspects of your leadership," Prof Srikant M. Datar said.
The professor cited Kenya's Vision 2030 and President Uhuru's commitment to realise the objectives set out in the socio-economic document as shining examples of the president's leadership.
"It's just an outstanding example of a leader setting audacious goals, providing direction; ambitious in terms of what you want for the country," he continued.
President Uhuru reiterated his commitment to moving forward the country's development agenda.
