Nominated MP Maina Kamanda now claims that Deputy President William Ruto is the man to blame for the troubles being witnessed within the ruling Jubilee party.
Speaking at the ACK St Anne's Parish in Mwiki on Sunday, the MP who has been leading an anti-Ruto team accused Ruto is sponsoring MPs to frustrate President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He claimed that the group of Jubilee MPs have been deployed to oppose the fight against corruption, and Uhuru's union with opposition boss Raila Odinga.
However, he said that the plan to turn MPs against Uhuru will not succeed, also accusing the DP of using the same technique to heap blame on Raila, yet he (Ruto) is the problem.
“Ruto should stop saying Raila is responsible for the rift in Jubilee because he himself is responsible for causing division within the party.
He is trying to incite and turn some members of Jubilee against President Uhuru Kenyatta and then blame it on Raila Odinga, but he will not succeed,” he was quoted by the Standard.
On his side, Nyeri Township MP Ngunjiri Wambugu wondered why Ruto's allies are still busy attacking Raila without any reason, considering that elections are over.
He said that the rift in the party is being caused by a clique of politicians secretly opposed to the President and his development plan, bit fooling him that they are together in the journey.
"As Jubilee, we are one party, but not all of us are working together. I fail to understand why some people are still fighting Raila Odinga yet the elections are over,” said Wambugu.
This coemsa s a continuation of the exchange between the pro-Uhuru group dubbed Kieleweke and the rival group allied to Ruto under the nickname Tangatanga.
Tangatanga has been on the neck of Kieleweke for fighting the DP with Kieleweke questioning why they are engaging in early politicking contrary to the President's orders.
Kieleweke has also attracted a number of opposition allied MPs who arenoposoed to the DP and his 2022 presidential intentions.
