More leaders from Nyamira and Kisii counties have challenged Deputy President William Ruto to stop throwing insults to the Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
The leaders led by Lillian Marwa who unsuccessfully vied for the Kisii County women representative seat during the 2017 polls on an ANC party ticket said DP Ruto's insults targeting Raila are uncalled for.
"Ruto should know insults won't enable him to get votes in 2022. Insulting Raila means Ruto is removing votes from his basket which means he is killing his political ambitions himself," she said.
She called for tolerance between DP Ruto and Raila arguing that Raila has a right to comment on the state of corruption in this country.
"Raila won't keep quiet to allow people like Ruto and his allies to continue misusing public resources. Every leader must be accountable when it comes to the use of public money," she stated.
Wiper Party politician Victor Swanya wondered why DP Ruto is concentrating on attacking Raila instead of fighting graft and working toward supporting President Uhuru in accomplishing the Big 4 agenda for time ends.
"Ruto is a shame to Kenyans because instead of joining the graft war he is busy insulting Raila. Votes don't come through insults. The DP should focus is supporting Uhuru by keeping off the political noise," he noted.
Thomas Nyangaresi a politician allied to ANC Party condemned DP Ruto and urged him to stop insulting Raila who not his equal in politics.
Raila and Ruto have been in heated splits over the war against corruption.
