Over 14 officials in Nyamira County Assembly have been questioned by Rev. Eliud Wabukala led EACC over Sh379 million tender.
Also, detectives from the commission are pursuing more people who are believed to have participated directly in the tendering of the building that Speaker Moffat Teya insisted was necessary.
Former Senator Okong'o Mong'are had petitioned EACC seeking to have the tender nullified on grounds that it faulted basic tendering laws.
It is not yet clear whether Mr. Teya and house clerk Mr. Orang'i have appeared for questioning.
According to Mr. Teya, the bulding will host MCAs offices and will be concluded in the next financial year.
"We want to have people meeting MCAs in offices within the assembly. This building is taking two years for completion.
"The complex will also have our social amenities like hotels and gym this space for job opportunities," he had said.
The five storey building is already underway but the latest move by anti-graft team would thus lead to possible stalemate.
In his petition, Mr. Mong'are also wants all those behind tendering to be prosecuted.
