Addressing journalist in Eldoret town on Tuesday, the leaders led by Rev. Joel Chebii emphatically criticized Jubilee MPs for linking Moi with the problems that have been perennially affecting agricultural sector including poor maize prices, corruption and the collapse of the dairy sector.

“It is indecent to mudslinging our retired president Moi on problems wrecking maize sector. Mzee Moi should be accorded with respect in the attest that he led Kenya for a span of 24 years leaving a legacy that can be substantiated with various projects named after him in our nation,” said Chebii who is also the first COTU vice chairman.

He hit out at legislators Oscar Sudi (Kapaseret), Aaron Cheruiyot (Kericho senator ) and Caleb Kositany (Soy) for making a mockery of the retired president arguing that statements they made disdained that development done by Mzee Moi.

The reaction has come after a section of Jubilee Members of Parliament reprimanded Alfred Keter, Joshua Kutuny and Silas Tiren for linking DP Ruto with graft cases in the maize sector suggesting to be investigated and the commodities be bought at high prices.
