Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa held a meeting with youths drawn from Jilore, Kakuyuni and Ganda wards where the agenda of the meeting was centered on development initiatives.

The youths who are social actors of change and are a crucial segment in Malindi Constituency, shared some development thoughts on how best they can be equipped with the right skills to enable them secure the elusive job opportunities and funds for their various projects.

However, Jumwa insisted that youth should not be used by politicians to advance their political interests but become key actors in political, economic and social decisions. 

"As their leader, I pledge to bring all youths across Malindi Constituency together in order to form a youth umbrella which will enable them initiate a youth table-banking model," said Jumwa on Sunday.

Among other key issues she addressed were drug abuse, education and politics which form the basis of youth challenges in the community.
