Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Alfred Keter has responded to a recent appointment of Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiangi.
Mating'i was on Tuesday appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta to chair a committee mandated to supervise all government projects, including the Jubilee government’s legacy-driven 'Big Four' agenda.
The vocal MP who has been against Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid on Wednesday tweeted; “PRESIDENT Kenyatta appoints Matiangi to supervise delivery of all government projects including Big 4; report directly. That is the real mtu wa mkono wa president period!!! busy bodies wajipe shughuli."
The tweet has been seen as directed to DP Ruto and his allies.
Matiang'is appointment has sparked sharp reactions from Kenyans and politicians as a section of them termed the move by President Kenyatta as aimed at restricting DP Ruto's moves in the country.
Others have also termed the appointment as an indication of Uhuru-Ruto fallout as the 2022 succession politics continue to gain momentum.
The second in command has been traversing the country launching government projects, a role which will now be taken over by Matiang'i.
