Just four years to 2022 polls, a paradigm shift from old and experienced to youthful and determination is taking shape in DP William Ruto's campaign team.

For instance, Ruto has recruited dozens of youths in the larger Gusii region as he seeks to dismantle Raila Odinga from his longtime strongholds.

In his recent tours, Ruto has been seen with South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro and his North Mugirango counterpart Joash Nyamoko, a clear shift from his former allies.

Also in the team are organised youths under nominated MCA in Nyamira, George Mosiori.

But at Harambee Annex, Ruto has lined up tens of youths whom he has entrusted to run his campaigns.

The latest entry of Antony Kibagendi, a former ODM activist has even seen his campaigns gathering momentum in the larger Gusii and across the country.

"I want to thank Kibagendi for organising such functions. We need to do more.

"He is in my office and through him, we can do a lot more. He's hardworking and I like his zeal," acknowledged Ruto on Thursday in Kisii.

Mr. Kibagendi quit ODM after decrying intimidations during party primaries in 2017 April where he lost to Sam Omwando.

Days later, he joined Jubilee and would run for Kitutu Chache South parliamentary elections where he lost narrowly to Richard Onyonka in November 2017.

And this year, Ruto appointed him as Secretary for Youths in his Harambee Annex office.

He is leading his campaigns among the youthful population countrywide.
