Ababu who is currently the chief administrative secretary in the ministry of foreign affairs maintains that politics is a game of colours which keeps changing day in day out.

“The ODM party leader Raila Odinga has been, is and will remain my friend but in matters politics, you always have to take a path that will lead you to prosperity but not political graves.

"I changed my mind and explained myself to the party leadership and supporters well that lack of democracy in ODM especially in their elections and the manner which I was not being given humble time to execute my duties as secretary general prompted me to vacate”, said Ababu.

Speaking live on the morning show on Radio Citizen early Thursday, the outspoken lawyer by profession added that he is sorry to all those who were not pleased with his decision to part ways with ‘BABA’.

“It is like I saw the handshake in advance and I do not regret at all that step because currently am happy being loyal to president Uhuru Kenyatta and DP Dr.Wiliam Ruto, I have peace of mind and am determined to serve Kenyans diligently as a diplomat," he added.

Ababu emphasized the essence of the handshake and thanked ODM leader Raila Odinga for holding peace talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta which fostered the handshake.

He narrated how he fully supports the handshake and the building bridges initiative and urged all Kenyans to support it.
