The Coach will replace Dylan Kerr, who recently left to join South Africa’s side Black Leopards. Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno is currently holding the seat as Gor Mahia interim Head Coach.

Reports indicate that K'Ogalo leadership has settled on Hassan Oktay as Kerr’s replacement.

Oktay who is of Turkish origin is among the more than 50 Coaches who applied to fill the void left by Kerr.

“It is true. Oktay is due in the country on Sunday (today). He is coming for three-month probation but will then sign a one-year contract. We feel that he has the capacity to lead this great club,” noted a source close to the club.

According to linkedin.com, Oktay is a UEFA ‘A’ Licensed Coach. He has previously worked in England, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand.

The coach is expected to watch the KPL Super Cup clash pitying Gor Mahia against Kariobangi Sharks at the Machakos Stadium, from 3 pm today, Sunday.

Super clash features KPL champions, in this case Gor Mahia against FKF Shield Champions.

The Super clash match is played one week before the new KPL season kicks off.

The new season will kick off on December 08.
