Captain Magonga, a former pilot with Kenya Defense Forces, died on Sunday evening with four others when the aircraft he was flying crashed at Lake Turkana National Park, with the cause not yet to be established.

And Mr Osoro, a close supporter of DP William Ruto, said he had an opportunity to fly with the captain and the DP in a past event at North Rift.

"My brother Magonga, its sad to wake up to sad news of your demise.I was last with you on board heading for some function with H.E Dr.Ruto.

"Your endless funny stories are still fresh in my mind. The people of Kisii county have lost a young promising son of the soil.I feel for your cousin and great buddy,my colleague and your MP Hon.Richard Onyonka..R.I.P brother," he wrote on Facebook.

Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka, a cousin to the deceased, said the crash should be thoroughly investigated. He also said that he had been  accredited to fly VVIPs.

He was son to Brigadier Pius Magonga of Nyamataro and a seasoned pilot with various companies in the country.
