Mr Simba Hasheem is expected to appear in a Nairobi court on Wednesday to present his argument as he seeks for the private prosecution of the governor.

Hasheem wants Roba charged alongside Okash Abdulahi Adan, Ibrahim Hassan and Alinoor Mohamed Ali over the mismanagement of public funds.

Through his lawyer Mutuma Meja, Hasheem wants Roba probed for allegedly hiring an ambulance from the Kenya Red Cross Society at a cost of Sh40 million and procurement of armoured vehicles at a cost of Sh16 million.

He alleges that he once wrote an application to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) over the matter but no action was taken yet the county boss cannot account for the funds he has been receiving from the national government since he took over power.

“[No actions and steps] have been taken towards the apprehension and charging of the respondents,” Mr Hasheem said, as quoted by Daily Nation.

On January 14 he appeared before Anti-Corruption Chief Magistrate Douglas Ogoti to have the county officials served with papers of the case from the court.
