Nominated Senator Beatrice Kwamboka has asked Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i to work closely with his Education Ministry counterpart Amina Mohamed to apprehend men impregnating school girls.
Ms Kwamboka regretted that cases of school girls being impregnated by rogue men are at the peak.
"Men who are dating school girls must be apprehended to face prosecution. Mr Matiang'i must ensure 'sex pests' arrested to be prosecuted," she noted.
The ODM allied senator maintained that school girls should be given humble time to learn for better future lives.
"Parents should not allow their daughters to get married. Any man impregnating a school girl should rot in jail," she stated.
The former Mountain View MCA in Kangemi, Nairobi County insisted that women leaders must be at the forefront championing for the rights of women in the country.
She appealed to male politicians not to undermine female politicians saying every Kenyans has a right to vie for political seats.
"Women should not be taken for granted. We need more women to take up more leadership posts for the purpose of fighting for the rights of women in society," said Kwamboka.
