A secondary school teacher in Bonchari, Kisii County is under fire after he allegedly undressed a form 3 girl and used her skirt to whip her and other students.
Locals led by Ronald Magato claimed that the teacher whose identity could not be revealed immediately committed the heinous act on Thursday.
"It is sad for the teacher attached to Botoro to undress the girl in public and used the skirt to whip her. This is unacceptable. We are demanding immediate disciplinary action be taken against the rogue teacher," said Magato.
According to Mellen Nyaboke, not her real name the mother to the affected girl, her daughter walked home half naked, wearing her petticoats only.
"I have followed up the matter with the school authorities but, my efforts have hit a wall since no teacher in the school is willing to give an explanation why my daughter was stripped naked and walked home without her body fully covered. Justice must be done," said Nyaboke.
She appealed to Interior Cabinet secretary Fred Matiang'i so that the teacher can be nabbed to face prosecution.
