Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti has said Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka remains the Ukambani political kingpin and has to be respected.

Ndeti said the Kamba politicians who attack and insult the former Vice President for his political decisions must stop.

She said Kalonzo deserves respect because he is the voice of the Kamba people.

Speaking on Milele FM Drive show on Thursday, Ndeti said it is wrong for some Kamba politicians to launch personal attacks on Kalonzo.

She asked the politicians to do their work without mentioning, criticizing or insulting the former Vice President.

“It is unfortunate that some known Ukambani politicians have resulted in insulting and criticizing my party leader for their own political gain,” Ndeti said.

Ndeti said Kalonzo remains the Kamba's voice and the endorsed candidate for the presidential seat in 2022.

She said Kambas are fully behind Kalonzo, noting that others challenging him are jokers who have no popularity.

“As Kambas, we are going to stand with Kalonzo’s presidential candidature and ensure he takes over office from President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022,” she added.

The former legislator said Kalonzo’s leadership is what the country needs to achieve her development goals.

Kalonzo is among top politicians eyeing the presidential seat in 2022.

His bid, however, hangs in balance if the current political situation in Ukambani is anything to go by.

On Wednesday, during a joint rally in Masinga, governors Alfred Mutua, Charity Ngilu and Kivutha Kibwana vowed to chart a new political direction for the Ukambani region.
