Eunice Naomi Ngoistsi has taken it upon herself to fight the stigma that is attached to the condition and also motivate other women who are silently suffering from the same.

“This journey is so hard and all I want is to help a lady out there who is suffering from the condition but has not yet discovered. I am also currently researching the recommended diet for the women suffering from the condition because we are advised to avoid certain foods especially ones which are sugary. I hope I will be able to stand for the ladies and give them hope,” Ngoistsi stated.

When she first discovered she was suffering from the condition on 03/02/2017 after watching a TV interview on endometriosis, the young bold lady was reduced to tears. The pain of going up to five months without her period was unbearable.

According to Ngoistsi, the condition causes infertility, heart diseases, diabetes, depression, sleep disorders among others. Hope is however not completely lost for those suffering from the condition.

“It is reversible if you take proper medication and change your lifestyle. I am sad that not a lot of girls know about the condition yet they are living with it,” she noted.

She, therefore, calls upon all ladies suffering from the condition to stop suffering in silence and step out as it is the only way to avoid the depression and stigma that is accompanied by the condition. She also welcomes those who would like to join her campaign.
