The Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has hinted that he is ready to join a political alliance that would have the interests of Kenyans at heart.
In a tweet, Mudavadi also urged politicians not to be motivated by greed and wealth accumulation as they seek elective leadership positions but instead said they should be guided by the desire to change lives of the poor Kenyans for the better.
The ex-Vice President opined that policies affecting development and change should embody the formation of political alliances.
He expressed his willingness to join a political faction whose agenda, policies and plans are pro-citizen and not self-seeking politics aimed at reviving and sustaining politicians' careers.
"Politicians should be guided by ideologies and not the pursuit of wealth. Ideology should be the foundation of political alliances. I’m willing to work with anyone with similar ideologies, people willing and ready to put Kenya Kwanza," reads Mudavadi's tweet.
The ANC leader is among politicians who hope to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta when he retires in 2022.
