With 32 lawyers lined up for Mwilu's defense, a section of high profile leaders have dismissed the case as 'political'

Human rights activist George Kegoro termed DPP Noordin Haji as 'reckless and unthinking' adding that his decision to pursue criminal charges against Mwilu was uninformed.

"The DPP is both reckless and unthinking in the decision to prosecute Mwilu. His decision strengthens the government, a bully, and further undermines the judiciary, its victim.

"Opens qns of double standards over the many clear cases that remain unprosecuted," he said.

His sentiments comes after ODM party joined calls to have DPP Haji dropping the case.

Mwilu, whose prosecution has been stopped by the court, will be battling to reject calls to take plea on Friday.
