Shabana FC hosted Raiply FC at the Gusii stadium on Saturday in a bid to pick themselves up and return to winning ways even as they seek to be promoted to next seasn's National Super League.
Shabana lost their last match 1-0 against Silbwet FC in Bomet stadium, though it didn't deter them from a playoff against either Naivas or Mwatate FC.
According to the club chairman, Paul Mayeiko, Shabana needs a win this weekend even if they have qualified to the playoff.
"It will be a big booster to us and help our boys prepare better for the playoffs," he said.
The fans' chairman Boniface Ntabo, has urged fans not to relent in their support for the team despite its performance.
"I believe in Shabana and I know someday this giant will rise and make us proud. We shouldn't withdraw our support now that they lost to Silbwet, we still must be at Gusii stadium and give them the moral support that they win especially on home soil," said Ntabo
Ntabo has also called on fans to prepare for the fan club elections that are due.
"The club fans need to elect new officials and we see the way forward in giving our support to the club,"
The positions that contestants will vie for include Chairman, Vice chairman, Treasure, Secretary, Vice Secretary and Organising secretary
"When fans take leadership they'll feel part of the team and that will make it easier for us to support our club," said Ntabo.
