Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Momaima Onyonka has once again revealed why he pulled out of Deputy President William Ruto's 'Tanga Tanga' movement.
Speaking on Friday at Isecha village in Manga when he condoled with the family of Dr David Ombati, the personal doctor to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, he said he realised the movement will make people lose trust in him.
"I left 'Tanga Tanga' movement after I noticed that my supporters will disown me. The movement is also not development oriented and comprises of greedy leaders who are power hungry," he stated.
The legislator insisted that he won't regret his decision to pull out of the movement.
Onyonka reached out to ODM Party leader Raila Odinga who also attended the burial to remain firm and ensure opposition is strong ahead of the 2022 polls.
"My brother Raila, I know you are being called names after you agreed to shake hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta. I want to ask you to stand firm despite the numerous insults. 'Tanga Tanga' movement members have nothing to offer to Kenyans," said Onyonka.
Further, Onyonka urged Kisii and Nyamira elected leaders to embrace unity and ensure the Gusii community is represented well at the national level.
