The party has been seen to speak from both sides of the mouth lately, culminating in President Uhuru's attacks on a group of unnamed Mt Kenya leaders on Sunday.

Speaking on Tuesday, the Ford Kenya Secretary-General claimed that Jubilee is fighting itself for lack of an alternative.

He said that the March 9, 2018 handshake between Uhuru and opposition boss Raila Odinga has denied Jubilee a place to channel its insults to.

"Now that we have a handshake they (Jubilee) have no one to hurl insults at so they have turned on each other," he said on NTV's AM Live on Tuesday morning.

However, at the same, he observed that the confusion, wrangles and infighting within the ruling party are very likely to have negative effects on the country on matters development.

"A dysfunctional Jubilee is going to impact development in this country, are they quarrelling about the past or the future," he added.

The party has also been divided on whether or not to support the handshake, which has seen members divided for and against the truce, again resulting in inter-party divisions.
