Deputy President William Ruto has admitted that the Jubilee Party has cracks as he seeks to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta upon the completion of his tenure in office.
Speaking during an interview with NTV on Thursday at his Karen Home, Ruto said that the party is divided into political formations such as Kieleweke and Tangatanga.
He alluded that these political factions have made things hard for the party as far as development is concerned. He, however insisted that his relationship with Uhuru remains intact despite the emergence of the cracks within the entire party.
"The Jubilee Party has issues. We now have camps calling themselves Tanga Tanga and Kieleweke. We cannot pretend that these issues are there and they need to be addressed," he said.
The second in command also weighed in on the woes of the National Super Alliance (NASA) saying it is no more. He alluded that the country no longer has an opposition as perceived.
At the same time, he lauded President Kenyatta's effort to have a handshake with ODM leader Raila Odinga. He said that their union is one of the best thing that has ever happened to this nation.
Ruto divulged that he is fully behind the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) and promised to attend all the rallies organized by the team.
