According to her employer Bernard Ochieng, the above named lady was a receptionist at his Migosi based hostel for the last two years before she escaped.

According to Ochieng, Celina alongside a 22-year old caretaker named David, also hired at the hostel, collected money amounting to Sh292,000 but never banked it as protocol.

Ochieng who has no option but to let the students stay at his apartment, told Hivisasa that the lady has not been recording the cash she collects in the books, and had received another cash over Sh 50, 000 from students who paid their rent through M-Pesa.

“I have not been coming here at the hostel occasionally. I have been busy. While I was away in Kampala, she took advantage of that. She’s supposed to pay Sh292,000 back,” said Ochieng.

When asked on how he arrived at the missing figure, the hostel owner said that he and the two officers from the DCI had collected statements from all students who had paid their rent, but the money was never recorded anywhere, adding that the statements were also going to be used in court as evidence.

Wycliff Ombeja, an officer from the DCI said that the suspect was supposed to avail herself for questioning in regard to the allegations before anything else could follow.
