Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has called on constituents to crucify him if he embezzles public funds meant for development.
The lawmaker said he is satisfied with the salary he earns every month and he can't misuse funds meant to initiate development projects in the constituency.
"I want to tell my constituents that I am ready to be crucified if I embezzle public funds. I am committed to using CDF funds appropriately to fund development projects across the constituency and ensure students at secondary schools and universities get good bursaries," he said.
The vocal MP stated that any CDF official in his tenure who will be caught engaging in bribery will be arrested to face prosecution.
He said residents must be alert to ensure no single cent is wasted.
"Residents should keep watch on the CDF officials representing them at the constituency office and report any misbehavior associated with corruption to authorities for legal action to be taken," he said.
Onyonka who was speaking on Monday morning at Radio Maisha insisted that he will be vying for the Kisii County governorship seat in 2022.
