Mutua said he will strive to bring change by engaging Kenyans in development.

Addressing locals in Mwala town on Saturday, the governor said he has the vision that will make Kenya a great country.

The governor who is eyeing to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022 vowed not to disappoint Kenyans if he is given the chance to be president.

“I have a great vision for Kenyan people and given chance, I will make the country proud,” Mutua said.

Mutua said divisive politics, tribalism, and corruption are ailling the country.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader said time has come for Kenyans to stop voting on tribal lines.

He said the country has great visionary leaders who are denied leadership because of their tribes.

The governor said his bid is on course denying claims that he will quit in favor of someone.

“There is no looking back and we will match on to the presidential ballot in 2022,” Mutua said.

Pressure has been mounting on the Maendeleo Chap Chap governor to step aside for Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka who has equally declared interest in the top seat.

Governor Mutua maintains that he has what it takes to be Kenya's next president.
