Ngilu mounted a mother of all campaigns that saw her emerge fourth in the 1997 presidential election.

Although she did not win the seat, Ngilu walked away with thousands of votes that Moi would have bagged, had she not made the decision.

Her brevity saw her stand up politically against men who believed a woman cannot rise to power.

Moi was forced to go back to the drawing board after Ngilu revealed that she was coming for him during the election.

Born in 1952 in Mbooni, Makueni District, Ngilu is a nonsense woman.

She believes all Kenyans are equal hence deserve to be treated right under all circumstances.

While Contesting for the top seat, Ngilu assured the voters of change upon her election.

Ngilu maintained that she was the right candidate to transform this nation if elected.

She has remained a force to reckon in the political scene.

In 2017, Ngilu mounted a strong campaign that caught the former Kitui Governor Jackson Malombe off guard.

Her word cannot be ignored, not only in Ukambani but the entire nation.
