Speaking in Milele FM's 'Kivumbi' Monday morning, the Jubilee Senator claimed that the party is succumbing to the union of President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition chief Raila Odinga.

He alleged that the entrance of Odinga into the equation through his March 9 truce with Uhuru has resulted to suspicion within the party, leading to instability.

This, he added, has resulted to discomfort on the side of Deputy President William Ruto, Raila's leading political nemesis, hence the pending party collapse.

"Jubilee imekufa maana ilikuwa hema yenye nguzo mbili, Uhuru na Ruto. Hata hivyo, ngamia ameingia na kurarua hema

(The party was like a tent with two pillars, this being the President and Ruto, but Raila has scuttled and destroyed the equation)," said the Senator.

However, both the President and the former Prime Minister have maintained that their union is solely aimed at enhancing unity and development.

During a tour of the three to Raila's Kisumu bedrock on Thursday, Ruto maintained that he is in full support of the truce, ruling out claims that he feels threatened.

Ruto has since hinted at vying for the presidency in the 2022 general polls, a race also likely to attract Raila whose 4 bids in the past have all been futile.
