When he returned to Garissa in 2017 after the disputed August 8 elections to thank the residents for overwhelmingly voting for Jubilee, Deputy President William Ruto gave the public a sense of the man who could be instrumental in his 2022 presidential campaigns.
That man, if the speech is anything to go by, is Garissa Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale.
Ruto paid tribute to the the incredible hard work that Duale had put in the elections.
"Thank you for giving us a man called Aden Duale. Duale as you all know is the Leader of the Majority in Parliament. And this man as I told you does work that is done by ten men," DP Ruto spoke glowingly of Duale.
Duale was instrumental in the 2017 Jubilee campaigns, accompanying President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto.
It is expected that Duale will be part of Ruto's 2022 presidential campaigns.
