The audio believed to have been recorded before last year’s August general election re-affirms Atwoli’s stance against his wife running for an elective seat in the elections.

Roselinder vied for the Webuye West Parliamentary seat and lost.

“I asked you, are you running in the forthcoming elections,” Atwoli is heard asking.

“Yes, I would wish to,” Roselinder answers.

“If that is the case, then you have to relocate as soon as possible because I have told you as my wife you can’t run,” Atwoli says.

“Francis, let me ask you, where is the big problem?” she asks

“Listen Rose, I am the one who knows. What I can see you cannot see,” he says.

The two were conversing in both English and Swahili. In the audio, the wife also accuses Atwoli of abandoning her and his children.

In the recent past, the COTU boss has been open about his marriage to KTN Swahili news anchor Ann Kilobi. He said he decided to marry Kilobi after his second wife abandoned his house for politics.
