Police in Bondo sub-county, Siaya County are holding a man accused of killing his brother.
According to Bondo OCPD Harriet Kinya, 36-year-old Erick Ochieng' severely injured his younger brother George Odhiambo on Monday evening.
The incident is suspected to have emanated from a family row, after which the suspect hacked the deceased (33), resulting to his death, reports the Citizen Digital.
He also allegedly injured their mother Esther Awino as she tried to intervene, with the brother succumbing to the injuries at the Bondo Sub-County Hospital where they were both rushed to.
Officer Kinya added that the suspect was later cornered by members of the public who beat him up, before the police stepped in and arrested him on Tuesday.
The suspect is being held at the Bondo Police Station, pending his arraignment in court on Thursday.
