Former Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim has taken issue with the trips that Somali regional heads are making to Kenya.
In a post on his Twitter handle, Maalim called for them to be given official clearance to be in Kenya, saying that some of them were undermining Mogadishu from the capital Nairobi.
"Kenya Government officials cannot travel out of the country without clearance from Office Of the President. It's a fitting security measure for us to demand official clearance for all Somalia official traveling to Kenya. Somalia Regional heads undermining Mogadishu from Nbi," he posted.
His post came in the wake of a meeting that Garissa Township Member of Parliament had with Somali regional heads in Ethiopia.
