In a Tweet Friday, the controversial lawyer suggested punishment against President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto over alleged corruption.

He also wants the same to apply to opposition leader Raila Odinga over allegations of being one of the biggest suspects in the nation.

The ex-Nairobi governor hopeful was responding to Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli's calls for stern punishments against the corrupt.

But ironically, Miguna wants Atwoli too subjected to the same, after the trade unionist proposed death as the best punishment for the troublesome vice.

"The primitive and corrupt COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli said on JKL that we should 'hang or shoot thieves.'

"I suggest that we start with the BIGGEST and JUICIEST thieves in Kenya - Uhuru Kenyatta, William Ruto, Raila Odinga and Francis Atwoli," he wrote.

This comes at a time when the nation is grappling with another major scandal, the Ksh21 billion Arror and Kimwarer dams scandals in Elgeyo Marakwet county.

The debate has since attracted the attention of both Ruto and Raila, with the DP defending the government saying that only Ksh7 billion was paid to the contractor.

This has resulted in a national debate, with Uhuru, however, remaining largely silent on the issue.
