Deputy President William Ruto has advised Jubilee party officials not to entertain chaos and misunderstanding in the party by external malicious political proponents.
Speaking during an event in Trans Nzoia county, the DP reminded the officials that the sole agenda of the party was to promote economic and social development, as well as fostering unity in the country.
While cautioning the officials not to allow reversal of gains made by the party, Ruto insisted that the commitments made by stakeholders during the inception of the party should be guarded with jealousy.
"As members ofJubilee, I want to advise the officials in the party to stick to what is in the party's manifesto, concerning the issue of bringing development to Kenyans," argued the DP.
He told them to be cautious of people hellbent in scuttling the foundations and tenets of the party that they fought so hard to establish.
He said, "They should not allow themselves to be used to bring chaos, tribalism and hatred in the party."
Ruto's sentiments come at a time when the party is facing divisions occasioned by leaders in Kieleweke and Tanga Tanga political factions, who trade barbs every week. They have threatened to tear the party apart.
